Last weekend I was in Rovinj, a small town on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. It was just a perfect first day of spring with sunny and fresh weather and trees in bloom. Hotels and bars were full and one of them impressed me the most. It is hotel Adriatic right on the main piazza overlooking the small harbour. Instead of light and bright what we usually expect from a seaside hotel this one is dark, bold and beautiful!
The flair is theatrical in good way. Terrace bar is mix of soft colored upholstered chairs and sofas with concert trios background.
Rooms are incredibly sophisticated… Views of the surrounding islands and piazza are unbeatable!
Art is integrated in all corners of this hotel.. including the rooms.
In contrast to bright colors of the terrace, dark colors and velvet prevail in the bar and restaurant inside the hotel. BTW food is great!
If I have to make the list of the most impressive bathrooms and toilets this one should definitely be on top of the list… whitewashed mirrors and branches of magnolia – pure art!
