Parco dei Principi in Sorrento is one of those places which look so hip and modern as it was opened last season rather than in 1961. The hotel is wierd white building perched up high on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of Naples. This is the blue and white version of dolce vita!
As the rest of the hotel, rooms are simple, practical, with stunning view of the sea and Vesuvio.
Can’t beat the location of this hotel! It has its own private beach accessible by steep staircase along the cliff or with the elevator for the lazy ones… Capri is only a short boat ride from the hotel, Pompei can be reached by 15 min train ride, Positano, Amalfi and other interesting small towns are just a short (scenic and scary!) ride from the hotel. Finally, Sorrento itself it is probably the most interesting of them all, with its corso, gelatterias, bars and small family run shops.
I loved the swimming pool and the pool bar!
The garden around the hotel is amazing! In fact, it’s a park with with fountains, palm trees, flowers, sculptures…
Apart from the blue and white fantasy of Gio’ Ponti, I enjoyed colors and flavors of this beautiful part of Italy.
